our objective :

modernize meat supply

Our Approach:

we provide the system architecture
and expertise needed to connect high
integrity producers with buyers seeking better meat

Our System :

a. Synchronizes growth objectives for the industry and market
b. Employs recent farming advancements and aspirations
c. Produces consistent supply of quality meat using common goals

overview

our approach

harmonizing StakeHolders

Synchronizing Production models with elevated standards to the supply chain integrity of Buyers with reputational risk tied to their sourcing practices requires a new operating system built for growth of differentiated meat.

differentiating sourcing:

Producers

Over 80% of farms in the US are family owned. Entrepreneurial small businesses ready for a convincing value proposition focused on elevated production standards of the future.

supply chain itegrity:

Buyers

More large buyers make claims of sourcing practices with differentiated production standards without the integrity to validate, insure nor promote food’s provenance.

the objective of OneHealthAg is to modernize meat supply by meshing the interests of farmers producing better meat with buyers managing reputational risk tied to their sourcing claims. To service market demand for food with proven integrity and backstory, OneHealthAg empowers production of better food using responsible models. Our goal is to systematically introduce a farm registry, which leads to an animal registry leveraging modern technologies to preserve the diverse values of these elevated standards on all cuts of meat throughout the supply chain.

aware and engaged:

Consumers

The driving force behind evolving meat production will be the elevated expectations of the customer eating the food.

regionalization:

Industry

It’s supply not meeting demand often due to bottlenecks where both sides aren’t syncing with interests of infrastructure.

how we harmonize stakeholders:

uniting an industry with:
consumer demand,
and buyer commitments.

we design and compile the IT architecture needed to transform to a modern meat industry and supply chain through addressing stakeholder limitations and concerns:

Capacity Building

providing tools, research and knowledge for meat farmers to farm better and more profitably – we help onramp more production with commitment to elevated standards

Bolstering Certifications

meshing credible producer certification schemes with common industry goals for broader adoption of differentiated meat from animals raised with elevated standards

Translating Buyer Demands

codifying the evolving requirements of buyers with reputationial risk on their brand with production models and certification schemas throughout their supply chains

A Shared Tent

working with industry leaders to define a common language around “elevated standards“ and “differentiated meat“ to advance the market

our structure:

framework to transform meat

Our goal is to have 51% of all domestic meat sold within a decade meet the differentiated standards of a balanced scorecard that includes animal welfare, soil health, human health, farm worker improvement, and environmental protection. We’ve taken a two (2) pronged approach to properly address these modern issues:

1. non-profit

Farm of the Future clearinghouse*

The creation of Farm-of-the-future multi-stakeholder initiative (MSI) is to better organize buyers of meat and to establish a innovative farm information systems architecture.

2. for-profit

OneHealth Agriculture

OneHealth Agriculture (Ag) will focus on farmer capacity building, regional slaughterhouse development, and advancement of a bi-modal supply chain to promote the many values of food derived from meat production with properly raised animals.

*Farm of the Future leverages the existing 501(c)(3) Fair Factories Clearinghouse (FFC) technology platform established to improve footwear & apparel supply chains. FFC has built and operates 6 clearinghouses, many with communities dealing with similar supply chain challenges currently hindering the production of differentiated meat.

our focus:

a shared
OneHealth

How we feed ourselves determines shared health. With the current model we’ve broken the natural order of nutrient cycling at the cost of human & environmental health.

how we invest in a shared OneHealth:

through commitment
to Food Animals

Food animals are a key lever for food system reform and shared stability. Our current extractive, input intensive and broken approach to producing food is repairable through smarter architecture based on incentives for stakeholders to participate and commit. With focus on the farm first, we seek to enhance producer adoption of the regenerative best practices in elevated standards by reaping the economic benefits for commitment to an approach in sync with changing market demand increasingly interested in the impact of their food.

consumer wellbeing

Human

By alleviating risk of human and public health issues associated to “cheap meat” production, raising animals with elevated standards is a baseline for preventative care.

climate stability

Environment

The net positive impact of regenerative agriculture reduces contaminants of current production systems while bolstering the resilience of ecology to clean air & water.

investing in welfare

Animal

Increasing consumer concerns with animal welfare practices, use of non-therapeutic antibiotics, GMO feeds, and damage to the environment are tied to animal production.

an anchor for a regenerative economy

sourcing Meat matters

Meat is in need of a new operating system with an improved production model and modern supply chain focused on better practices and integrity. Responsible large animal agriculture turns a detrimental food category into a net positive investment in shared health and stability. And why this matters so:

195 lbs. of meat

is the average per capita consumption
in the United States

9 billion animals

are processed in the US /year. 98% are raised using industrial confined practice accepted in the supply chain of conventional meat

80% of antibiotic usage

takes place on farm in the US, often for non-theraputic reasons to increase stocking density and feed efficiency

$864 Billion impact

on the domestic economy – meat represents 6% of US GDP. but, the majority of demand from the growing US differentiated meat market is met with imports

75% of emerging infectious

diseases have spread to humans from animals. AMR resistance in the developed world has leading Public Health agencies warning of impending doom without drastic modifications to antimicrobial management

2 million cases

of AMR were diagnosed in the US last year costing $30 billion and 23,000 lives. A global problem, much self induced

advanced technology meets modern demand:

Food Animal
Pedigree

we introduce a new operating system for meat production to mesh with increased consumer demand for food values

Address Silos

We alleviate stand-alone islands of information for stakeholders

Master Data

formulate common directory of farms and harmonize data

Production Audits

organize auditing to reduce duplicative efforts & standards

Common Interests

Sync broad certifications with diverse buyer interests
